Sanctions on cats owned by Russians from the International Cat Federation

The International Cat Federation (FIFE) also participated in the large-scale Western sanctions against Russia.

As of March 1, FIFE has decided that “no cats bred in Russia may be registered in any FIFE pedigree book outside of Russia. No cats belonging to exhibitors living in Russia will be allowed to enter any FIFE exhibition outside of Russia, regardless of which organization is a member.” statements were included.

It continued, “Our fellow Ukrainian cat enthusiasts are desperately trying to take care of their cats and other animals in these difficult conditions. We are extremely happy that many members of FIFE clubs neighboring Ukraine, such as Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova, have extended a helping hand to their Ukrainian breeder friends . “

Following this statement, it was stated that no cats bred from FIFE Russia will be registered in any FIFE register outside of Russia, and that no cats living in Russia will be able to participate in the FIFE fair. 
In the statement, it was stated that the restrictions are valid until 31 May . FIFE also decided to support cat breeders in Ukraine.
